Kylie Minogue plays first UK 'Anti-Tour' concert - pictures

Kylie Minogue has performed the first of three UK dates as part of her new mini-tour.

The singer is currently playing a handful of shows in Manchester and London as part of her 'Anti-Tour', which sees her performing a set of B-sides, album tracks and rarities.

Minogue played the first UK date at Manchester Academy last night (April 1), wearing denim hot-pants and a T-shirt with a vintage print of The Mirror newspaper.

Following the gig, she tweeted: "#AntiTour MAMCHESTERRRRRR!!!! U blew the roof off >>>>>> thank UUUU!!! (sic)"

There were no production or costume changes during the set, reinforcing the idea that the shows are an 'Anti-Tour' and thus the opposite of what is normally expected from a Kylie concert.

Minogue will play a second Manchester show tonight (April 2) at the Academy, before moving on to London's Hammersmith Apollo tomorrow evening (April 3).

The 'Anti-Tour' has been organised in celebration ! of Minog ue's 25 years in the music industry. Further celebrations will take place throughout 2012 as part of the star's K25 project.
