Kylie Minogue looks effortlessly chic as she runs errands in a tan ensemble

Now that summer has turned to autumn, gone are the days of super-short hotpants and pretty dresses.

But Kylie Minogue evidently decided brown was the colour of the season as she stepped out on Friday.

Running errands in West London, the diminutive pop princess looked perfectly coordinated in a tan and black ensemble.

Looking effortlessly chic, the 44-year-old singer teamed a casual, yet stylish, oversized zip-through cardigan with a black and white striped blouse and tan pleated skirt.

Kylie completed her look with a pair of black leather boots, a simple black handbag and large tortoiseshell sunglasses, despite the weather being somewhat overcast.

Even though she was going about her chores, the Spinning Around hitmaker looked happy and relaxed as she stepped out in the capital.

However, she was without her boyfriend, Spanish model Andres Velencoso, who she has been dating since 2008.

It's been a busy few weeks for the Australian beauty after she put in a red carpet appearance at the New York Film Festival last week, as well as promoting her new movie Holy Motors in Brazil.

The star recently opened up about her meteoric rise to fame as she marked her silver anniversary in the music industry.

After transforming from soap actress to a global superstar almost overnight, the multi-millionaire songstress admitted she never forgot her humble roots back in Australia.

Speaking in a Radio 2 interview, Kylie said: 'My family didnt come from any money, we didnt come from any standing in society, or anything like that. My father worked two jobs he started at night When I was born and they finally got a heater it was a really big news.

'So I do come from humble beginnings and a work ethic that allowed us to have what we needed as a family and never feel that we were missing anything.
