Kylie Minogue has reportedly quit the music industry to focus her attention on her acting career.

The 'Can't Get You Out Of My Head' singer, who spent 2012 celebrating 25-years as a performer, has apparently sacked her long-term a manager Terry Blamley, who helped launch her music career, as she concentrates on acting full-time.

A source told The Sunday Mirror: "Kylie's decision to stop recording for the time being and part company with Terry has come as a massive shock. Ever since she broke into the charts in the 80s Terry has been the man behind the scenes. But now Kylie is saying she wants to pull back from the pressures that come with a music career."

The source continued: "She says she's determined to devote more time both to herself and to her career as an actress. She may be thinking she's achieved most of what she wants as a pop star."

Minogue, 43, recently returned to acting with a role in surreal French fantasy film Holy Motors. At the end of this article, you can hear her performing a song from the film called 'Who Were We?', which was co-written by The Divine Comedy's Neil Hannon. Minogue's previous screen appeara! nces include Moulin Rouge!, the much-mocked Street Fighter and, of course, Neighbours.

The Aussie singer can next be seen in Walking On Sunshine, a new musical comedy movie featuring a selection of 1980s pop songs.
