Jason Donovan has revealed intimate details of his former relationship with fellow Australian star Kylie Minogue. More than two decades after his on-screen romance with Minogue in Neighbours, Donovan, 43, has told a British TV journalist the now-pop princess was his first love and that he struggled as her success grew. "At the time it was great," the actor, singer and radio presenter said of the relationship, as reported in Britain's Sunday Mirror. "We cemented it in a Sydney Travelodge (hotel). There were a number of promotional trips we would do each weekend and the Travelodge was the place. "I did not lose my virginity to her, though. I knew I was in love with her when she became successful on her own. It was a jealousy thing." Kylie Minogue And Jason Donovan Stage A Concert Comeback. Yes, Really!

Image
There have been a few exciting pop reunions of late, but there are comebacks and then there is the pure unadulterated disco magic that is eighties-heaven-tastic Kylie Minogue and Jason Donovan - or Scott and Charlene, however you chose to remember them. When news reached Grazia HQ that the most wondrous pop pairing of them all would be taking to the stage once more, some of us early teenyboppers around the glorious period of 1988 were simply beside ourselves. The dream duo has yet to confirm which of their chart-toppers they will treat us to (surely it can only be Especially For You? Please, if there is a God in heaven, let it be so!) but it will be quite the spectacle when the Stock Aitken and Waterman gang, including Bananarama, Rick Astley and Sinitta travel through time to perform a special concert in Hyde Park in July. Certain performers may need to let their stibe washed jeans out an inch or two, but on the whole time has been kind to the old gang (the less said about Jasons

Kylie Minogue pulled from F1 show in KL over contract dispute

It's Kylie - front, left and centre

Spontaneity is rarely a word associated with the enduring career of Kylie Minogue. Throughout her 25 years in the music industry, Minogue has often been seen as nothing more than a puppet for clever business execs who understand the public's love of a catchy chorus. In front of a sold-out crowd of 2000 in Melbourne's intimate Palace Theatre on Sunday night, the 43-year-old performer threw off the shackles of any previous misconceptions as she went back to basics and delivered the most off-the-wall concert of her career, an "Anti Tour", featuring only B-sides, demos and rarities. Minogue devised the Anti Tour as a way to give back to her hardcore fan base with a show featuring none of the elements that make her concert spectacles so popular. No hit singles, no dancers, no sets, no costume changes - just the performer delivering left-of-field tracks. Kylie Plays Intimate Gig For 'Superfans'

Kylie Minogue has played a stripped-down, intimate gig for her most loyal fans in her hometown Melbourne. To mark 25 years in the music business, the Australian singer made a rare performance for 2,000 fans as part of her 'Anti-Tour'. Minogue is better known for her big budget concerts in front of many thousands complete with extravagant costumes and scores of backing dancers. But, for this performance, the 43-year-old dressed in a white top and denim shorts with a back to basics stage set and no dancers. She played two back to back shows in one night at the Palace Theatre in Melbourne for what she called her "superfans". As well as singing some of her biggest hits, Kylie also opted for some of her lesser known B-side songs. On Minogue's last tour, Aphrodite, the singer went through 200 costumes, had 10 dancers and a troupe of acrobats, as well as 30 water fountains. Minogue will play a similar gig in Sydney where earlier this month she performed at the Mardis

Kylie Minogue: Dancing keeps me fit

Saturday Mar 17 2012 Kylie Minogue credits her toned limbs to hours of dancing on stage. However the Spinning Around singer has revealed she ditches her exercise routine altogether when she stops touring. The svelte 43-year-old star says she needs a break from working out when she is home in order to find a fitness balance. "When I'm on tour I dance a lot and get great arms, but I'm in pain the whole time as stomping about for two and a half hours straight is heavy on my knees, especially with some of the huge dresses I wear," she told the April's UK edition of Marie Claire. "So on tour I'm very fit and when I'm not on tour I just do nothing - I need to find the middle ground." When she is on tour, she also uses plenty of body make-up to improve her appearance on stage. She admits she gets bronzed up before each show. "For work, body make-up is essential - I don't think there will be a day when a make-up artist doesn't have MAC Face

Kylie Minogue - Minogue To Play Two Shows A Night On Sell-out Tour

Kylie Minogue has thrilled fans in Australia by agreeing to play extra "late night" shows after tickets to her highly-anticipated 'Anti Tour' sold out in less than 15 minutes. The pop superstar is set to perform in small venues, playing B-sides and rarities for die-hard devotees to mark her 25 years in the spotlight, and tickets to the first two shows in Sydney and Melbourne later this month (Mar12) quickly sold out. Minogue apologised to those who missed out, and has now declared she will be playing two shows back-to-back on each night by adding special late evening performances. A post on the star's website reads, "Inundated by pleas from fans, Kylie has agreed to perform not just one but Two shows on the same night in each city! "The 'late' Anti Tour shows are now scheduled for 11:30pm in Melbourne on Sunday 18th March and 10:30pm in Sydney on Tuesday 20 March."

Minogue adds extra 'late' shows

Kylie Minogue fans in Sydney and Melbourne have a second chance to buy tickets after the singer decided to add two 'late' shows to her sold-out tour. Minogue's Australian Anti Tour to celebrate her 25th anniversary in the music industry sold out in two minutes but after being inundated by fans, the pop star has decided to do two extra shows. The singer had chosen to hold the shows at The Palace in Melbourne and Luna Park in Sydney, which both have only a 2000-seat capacity, because she wanted a more intimate setting after her recent arena tours. Fans were restricted to two tickets at a time to lessen ticket scalping. The 'late' Anti Tour shows are scheduled for 11.30pm in Melbourne on Sunday, March 18 and 10.30pm in Sydney on Tuesday, March 20. Tickets to these extra shows will go on sale at noon (AEDT) on Friday, March 9 on kylie.com and frontiertouring.com/kylie.

Kylie Minogue loves change

Kylie Minogue enjoys 'changing her look'. The 43-year-old singer recently dyed her hair darker for a movie role, and although she enjoyed having brown tresses she is in the process of going back to blonde because she struggles to do her make-up well. She said: 'I think most people think of me as a blonde but I recently had a role in a French film and the director wanted to make my hair darker. 'It's quite fun to change your look for something like that I will gradually go back to a sun-kissed blonde. I've found it really difficult to do my make-up with darker hair. I seem to look better with nothing.' However, one thing the diminutive pop star cannot change is her height, and she admits she has to wear heels to ensure she is seen. She added to Marie Claire magazine: 'With my height I always feel confident if something is below the knee and I'm wearing heels. I wear flats sometimes but not when I'm working, you'd never see me.'

Kylie Minogue prefers natural look

Sunday Mar 4 2012 Kylie Minogue prefers to wear a light foundation when going about her day-to-day life. The Australian star piles on make-up when she is on stage or at personal appearances, so in her personal life she takes things easier. There are certain products she always tries to find the time for though. "Depending on how I'm feeling and how my skin is, I might just put on a little bit of concealer where I need it," she explained to Company magazine. "YSL Touche clat is still one of my favourites. I really like the concealer from By Terry, too - the make-up line of the woman who created Touche clat. If I use foundation, I try and use quite a light one, like Fresh Face Luster. I wear their blusher too (blush makes a huge different to your face), then mascara and, if I've got time, I fill in my eyebrows a bit." Asked about the products she couldn't live without, Kylie has a clear frontrunner. She loves the face and body foundation created by MAC and
