Kylie Minogue will perform at the Queens Diamond Jubilee concert

She told Digital Spy: "I'm honoured to be invited to perform at the Diamond Jubilee Concert.

"To share the stage in front of Buckingham Palace with music legends including Paul McCartney, Stevie Wonder, Tom Jones and Elton John in celebrating the Queen's Diamond Jubilee is very exciting."

Stevie added: "It's an honour to celebrate The Queen. It's an honour to celebrate Great Britain. The time is overdue that I meet Her Majesty."

Jessie J, Ed Sheran, Madness, Cliff Richard, Shirley Bassey and Annie Lennox are also set to perform at the free concert.

Meanwhile, Kylie has jetted Down Under to perform at Sydneys Mardi Gras on Saturday (03.03.12) as part of her continuing 25-year anniversary celebrations.

Having not sung at the event for 14 years, the 43-year-old Australian is looking forward to catching up with her homegrown fans although she might need a power nap before the high-energy show.

She told the Star Observer: Its going to be interesting for me to see what its like, having last been there in 98. Im actually trying not to think about it too much because I get a little too excited.

Ill be getting off just as much as theyre all getting off on being there. Its such a shared, special moment. Itll feel very free, with a very liberal air of people just doing what they want.

But I might need to have a nanna nap before I go on.
