Kylie Plays Intimate Gig For 'Superfans'

Kylie Minogue has played a stripped-down, intimate gig for her most loyal fans in her hometown Melbourne.

To mark 25 years in the music business, the Australian singer made a rare performance for 2,000 fans as part of her 'Anti-Tour'.

Minogue is better known for her big budget concerts in front of many thousands complete with extravagant costumes and scores of backing dancers.

But, for this performance, the 43-year-old dressed in a white top and denim shorts with a back to basics stage set and no dancers.

She played two back to back shows in one night at the Palace Theatre in Melbourne for what she called her "superfans".

As well as singing some of her biggest hits, Kylie also opted for some of her lesser known B-side songs.

On Minogue's last tour, Aphrodite, the singer went through 200 costumes, had 10 dancers and a troupe of acrobats, as well as 30 water fountains.

Minogue will play a similar gig in Sydney where earlier this month she performed at the Mardis Gras festival.
