Kylie Minogue says it's a "dream come true" headlining this year's BBC Proms in the Park

She said: "I'm delighted to be performing at one of the UK's most outstanding nights of the musical calendar, and to sing in front of thousands of people whilst being accompanied by the legendary BBC Concert Orchestra in such a special year is truly a dream come true."

Proms in the Park is the annual 'Last Night of the Proms' spectacular broadcast live on BBC Radio 2. It is now in its 17th year, and is Britain's largest outdoor classical music event and a rousing finale to two months of the BBC Proms.

Il Divo, Alfie Boe and Bjorn Again will also play while Radio 2 DJ Tony Blackburn will host the early evening entertainment for the first time, followed by Sir Terry Wogan.

Proms in the Park fans across the UK are able to tune in to the concert live on BBC Radio 2 or for selected coverage by pressing the Red Button during the Last Night of the Proms on BBC TV. The concert will be available on BBC iPlayer for seven days after the event.

Also on the bill at the Proms in the Park are The Gypsy Queens, a band of former buskers who formed in Nice, France, and have since performed for stars including Sir Elton John, Rod Stewart, Quincy Jones and Prince William.
