Jake Shears 'forgot about Kylie Minogue, Calvin Harris collaboration'

Scissor Sisters frontman Jake Shears has confessed to forgetting recording a song with Kylie Minogue.

The singer worked with the Australian popstar and Calvin Harris on a track for Minogue's 2010 album Aphrodite.

However, Shears admitted that he had completely forgotten about working on the track until he asked Calvin Harris about it. He only remembered once he'd heard the full song.

"Two hours later I got a full song in my inbox with Kylie singing," Shears told Real Radio North East. "A finished Calvin Harris-produced song and I had no recollection of writing it.

"It was a good pop song and I was sitting listening to it thinking he must have pulled this from another session because I don't remember this at all and then my voice comes onto the backing vocal for the whole second half of it."

Scissor Sisters' new single 'Only The Horses' - which was co-produced by Harris - will be released in the UK on May 13, while their upcoming album Magic Hour will follow on May 28.
