Kylie Minogue offered UK reality TV role

Star Australian diva Kylie Minogue could follow in the footsteps of her younger sister Dannii after being offered a role as judge on an upcoming UK reality singing talent show.

The BBC has offered the petite pop princess STG1 million ($A1.5 million) to appear on its new production The Voice, British tabloid The Sun reports.

The valuable offer for the popular 43-year-old comes as the broadcaster sheds jobs and cuts back shows to save cash.

An unnamed source confirmed to The Sun that the offer has been made, but added 'we won't break the bank for anyone'.

BBC's website is calling for contestants with 'unique and distinctive' talent for The Voice, which has already run a successful season in the US.

'Four of the biggest names in music are looking for incredible singing talent to compete for the title of The Voice UK,' the website reads.

The Sun reports that Kylie originally asked for STG2.5 million to appear as a judge on the show.

Mother-of-one Dannii, 39, has found huge success in the UK after repeat seasons as a judge on The X Factor. She continues to star on Australia's Got Talent on screens Down Under.
