'Inbetweeners' keen on Kylie Minogue cameo

The Inbetweeners

The stars of The Inbetweeners have said that they are "definitely" keen for Kylie Minogue to film a cameo appearance after being presented with an award by the singer at the British Comedy Awards.

Minogue delighted the audience by using the word "clunge" on stage. The boys said: "That was so surreal. We were just talking to her outside and she's a genuine fan of the show."

The show won an 'Outstanding Achievement Award' in a week when the movie's DVD sold a million copies in its first four days of release.

Speaking about the prospect of more Inbetweeners in the future, the cast said that "there's nothing specific on the table at the moment".

James Buckley, who plays Jay, added: "If there is another one to be made it's going to have to be good because no-one wants to make one that isn't."

Simon Bird, who plays Will, said of their latest award win: "It's not really our award, frankly. We're just in the show, but [writers Iain Morris and Damon Beesley] are the brains behind it and they write it, so it's their award."
