Kylie Minogue's 'Can't Get You Out Of My Head' named 'Song of Decade'

Kylie Minogue's 'Can't Get You Out Of My Head' has been named as the most-played song of the decade in a music industry poll.

The popstar's 2001 single finished above 'Toxic' by Britney Spears and Robbie Williams track 'Angels' in the survey by the Performing Rights Society For Music, which is comprised of UK composers, songwriters and music publishers.

Jamelia's 2003 song 'Superstar' and 'Just A LIttle' by Liberty X also finished in the top five.

"These are all classic songs of the noughties and 'Can't Get You Out Of My Head' is one of Kylie's all-time greatest hits," PRS chairman Guy Fletcher said.

"The writing talent behind this top five includes legends such as Cathy Dennis and Guy Chambers, and underpins the importance of good songwriting in producing a hit."

The society revealed that the top five had been played more than 875 million times in total during! the nou ghties.

Minogue last month expressed her pride in being inducted into the ARIA (Australian Recording Industry Association) Hall of Fame.
