Kylie takes a trip down memory lane

KYLIE Minogue's iconic gold hot pants have been documented in literature.

Minogue will release a photographic book, Kylie/Fashion, in November.

Retailing for $49.95, the book hones in on Minogue's fashion choices over the past 25 years.

The Australian superstar's personal archives have been raided for previously unseen photographs, out-takes from video shoots, fashion sketches of tour outfits and items from her private collection.

Minogue wrote the afterword for the book, with designer Jean Paul Gaultier penning the foreword.

''This book charts my relationship with some of the most talented people in fashion throughout my career," Minogue said.

''It makes me very proud to see gathered together all the great designers and houses I've worked with over the years. Looking through my personal archives has been a real trip down memory lane and it is the fashion that brings back moments and memories of the last 25 years."

As with previous coffee-table books celebrating the visual aspects of her career, Minogue has worked with creative director William Baker on Kylie/Fashion.

Minogue continues to mark her 25th year in music with key releases.

An album of her hits, re-recorded with an orchestra, the Abbey Road Sessions, is released on October 26, with a new single, Flower, preceeding it.

The singer perform! ed at Lo ndon's Hyde Park on the weekend for BBC Proms in the Park.

A DVD of her Anti-Tour, filmed in Melbourne, is also mooted and the singer is also working on her new studio album, expected to be released next year.

She will return to Australia for Sydney's New Year's Eve celebrations, where she is operating as creative ambassador.
