Of all the Nobel Prizes, the Peace award does more to bring people together.

But this year, the Nobel committee got to enjoy some extra star power to celebrate the winning nominee, the European Union.

At the concert in Oslo, guests from across the globe were treated to performances from two of the biggest musical divas in the world: Kylie Minogue and Jennifer Hudson.

Wearing a vibrant orange gown, Kylie looked half her age as she belted out her classics old and new.

The diminutive star owned the stage as she sashayed the skirt of her dress in time with the music.

Equally, Jennifer Hudson, 31, shook down the house with her RnB set list and showed off her trim legs in a little black lace dress.

Also representing the U.S. was Ne-Yo, 30, who no doubted stirred up the crowd with his signature dance moves, while Seal, 49, made sure British music helped spread the message of peace and celebrate this year's Nobel Peace Prize laureates.

The masters of ceremonies came in the form of Sarah Jessica Parker and Gerard Butler, two actors with human rights connections.

Sarah's parents were both peace activists, so she marched at anti-war rallies from an early age.

Getting the chance to visit Oslo was a chance in a lifetime for the 47-year old actress as she has always wanted to see the table around which the final decision is made on awarding the Peace Prize.

Before he became an actor, Ge! rard was ! a practising lawyer in Scotland, a country that is known for having a historically tumultuous relationship with England.

Therefore the decision to award President Herman Van Rompuy, the President of the European Commission Jose Manuel Barroso and the President of the European Parliament Martin Schulz with the Peace prize was a significant moment in the 43-year old's mind: 'Now we live in a time when this isn't happening, and I think as a Scotsman, as a European, it makes me very proud to be part of this process.'

However, not everyone is happy to see the 1.2million prize awarded to the 27-nation EU as it continues to struggle with a financial crisis negatively affecting many across the world.

South African Archbishop Desmond Tutu was joined in his criticism by two other Peace Prize laureates - Mairead Maguire of Northern Ireland and Adolfo Perez Esquivel from Argentina - who said the bloc should not receive the prestigious award because it relies on military force to ensure security.

For pacifying Europe and uniting its different cultures in the 60 years since World War II, Sarah Jessica Parker believes the EU is a deserving winner and hopes its work will serve 'a terrific blueprint for' the United States.
