The Aria Awards are given by the Australian Recording Industry Association and honor the very best in Australian music.

"I'm always bragging about our country wherever I am in the world and tonight's award means so much to me," Minogue, 43, told the audience after she accepted the award from Australian Prime Minister Julia Gillard. "I just want to let all of you know and everyone at home that Australia I love you and I thank you very much," she added.

Ever the fashion risk taker, Minogue wore a black gown with a see-through skirt to the Aria Awards. She accessorized the unconventional frock with natural looking make-up, wavy hair, and a few simple pieces of jewelry.
