Kylie Minogue - Kylie To Return To Sydney Mardi Gras After 14 Years

Kylie Minogue will celebrate her 25th anniversary as a pop star by headlining the Sydney Mardi Gras parade in Australia.

The Can't Get You Out of My Head singer last appeared at the gay spectacular 14 years ago (98).

In a statement released via video online to mark Australia Day (26Jan12) Down Under, Minogue cooed, "I am coming home for Mardi Gras this year... This will be my third time and I simply cannot wait, and its going to be a beautiful way to celebrate 25 years of this relationship... So see you in March."

The Sydney Gay and Lesbian Mardi Gras group will honour Minogue during the parade with her own K25 float.

Event organiser Michael Rolik admits he was very excited when Minogue agreed to return to the Mardi Gras.

He says, "There is no doubt our community contains an enormous number of Kylie fans, so we are delighted she will be here for Mardi Gras at the start of her 25th anniversary in the music industry.

"There are often rumours that Kylie will be back at Mardi Gras and today we are pleased to confirm she will be here to party alongside us over the Parade weekend. We will be pulling out all the stops to show her a good time."

The Sydney Mardi Gras 2012 will run from 12 February to 4 March (12).
