Glamour Award Winners: Kylie Minogue Picks Up Outstanding Woman Of The Year
Jessie J, Holly Willoughby, Eva Longoria and Jessica Alba were among winners at the Glamour Women of the Year Awards at a star studded bash in London last night.
Hosted by Graham Norton the ninth annual awards saw Australian superstar Kylie Minogue pick up the top award of the night, the Outstanding Contribution award in the Spinning Around singers 25th year in music.
As she accepted her award in a stunning Stella McCartney dress the 44 year-old said: "I don't know how I ended up here when I started out in dungarees (in Neighbours) pretending I could fix a car.
" I'd like to dedicate this to my grandma and mother. I hoped to become a better woman. Like my grandma. She's really my icon. She added.
The Voice judge Jessie J celebrated a successful year as she picked up the best Solo Artist award, given to her by rival mentor Will.i.am. Another talent show judge Kelly Rowland picked up the TV Personality title, which may annoy her former X Factor boss Simon Cowell who reportedly sacked the Destiny Childs star.
It was a good night for Downton Abbey with both Jessica Brown Findlay and Michelle Dockery picking up awards for UK TV actress and the Editors Special award. Another duo celebrating were Holly Willoughby and Fearne Cotton, the best-friends who won the awards for Presenter of the year and Radio Personality.
When presenting the Radio 1 star with the award, her fellow DJ Chris Moyles joked: "They keep giving it to her because they know she'll turn up and she's very pretty.
Presenters included Lily Allen, Cat Deeley and Paloma Faith while the Icon of the year went to singer Dionne Warwick who is aunt to the late W! hitney H ouston.
